Spider Solitaire

Weave two decks into eight king-to-ace suits — choose 1, 2, or 4 suits.

This game is coming soon.

How to play

Clear all eight king-to-ace runs in a single suit to win. Two decks (104 cards) deal across ten columns, with only the bottom card of each face-up.

  • Build downward. Stack any card on one a rank higher, any suit — a 9 goes on any 10.
  • Move runs by suit. Lift a group only when it’s a same-suit descending run: 9-8-7 of spades moves as one; 9♠-8♥ doesn’t.
  • Empty columns take any card or run.
  • Deal drops one card onto every column when you’re stuck — but not while any column is empty, so fill gaps first.
  • Undo is unlimited. Drag and drop, or tap to send a run to the best legal column.

Difficulty

The deck is always 104 cards — only the suit count changes:

Mode Suits Feel
1 Suit Spades only Any run is same-suit, so long stacks move freely. Best for learning.
2 Suits Spades + hearts Keep both suits sorted to move runs. The classic middle ground.
4 Suits Full deck Untangle four mixed suits. Planning and undo required.

Your fastest time and fewest moves save per difficulty, so every mode has its own record to beat.

Tips

  • Flip face-down cards first — each one opens new options.
  • Keep runs one suit — an 8 on the same-suit 9 lets you move both later.
  • Guard an empty column — it’s your most flexible tool; don’t spend the last one right before a deal.
  • Deal last — make every ordering move first, then use undo to scout risky lines safely.

FAQ

What are the 1, 2, and 4 suit modes?
They change how many suits are in the 104-card deal. One suit is best for learning, two suits is the classic middle ground, and four suits is the hardest, requiring planning and undo.
What's the goal of Spider Solitaire?
Build eight complete king-to-ace runs in a single suit. Each finished run clears from the board, and clearing all eight wins the game.
How do you move a run of cards?
You can lift a group only when it's a same-suit descending run — 9-8-7 of spades moves as one, but a mixed-suit run doesn't. Any card can still be placed on one a rank higher.
Is Spider Solitaire free to play?
Yes — free in your browser with unlimited undo, and your fastest time and fewest moves are saved per difficulty.
